They have no problem trying to make laws about marriage, what can be taught in public schools, who can use what birth control. Darrell Night, of the Nêhiyawak (Plains Cree) nation, died at age 56. In 2000, Saskatoon police took him on a "starlight tour" in freezing winter, to drop him off outside of town: a practice that had killed Indigenous men before.
