Though I deactivated my account, I have access to look in on Twitter firsthand. It's stunning what a sewer it's become, strikingly more rancid under Musk.

Media accounts, both individual & corporate, hang on because they think the communicative critical mass is still reached there.

They rationalize that they are in containment shelters from the fallout, particularly if they cover the conflagration along the way.

I have to think that if they left, it would all come down.
