Assuming that the trials go as expected, TFG is convicted and goes to jail, unfortunately we're going to have a situation similar to that after Watergate: a bunch of people insisting that a President, in order to be held accountable, has to do *exactly* the same things as a previous criminal President (e.g., as in Watergate, there have to be recordings made by a secret White House tape machine). So this is going to be the new bar.

I.e., if a future President commits crimes, but does anything short of literally trying to overthrow the election and put false electors in the electoral college and incite a riot at the Capitol, then we'll be told it's not impeachable and can't be prosecuted.

This is of course b.s. If a President had done 2% of what TFG did it would be impeachable. You can't make the bar the absolute worst.

@DavidSalo there are 140+ members of Congress who need to be subpoenaed over the no votes to certifying the 2020 election. Until they are rooted out and shown the door, the Jailcan party has enough votes to squash any expulsions unless thrown out enough masse.
