I am now the administrator of building access control for my company. All I had to do was call the vendor and ask them to make me the administrator, and to remove the old administrator.
They had never met me, didn't ask me for any verification, just gave me details on how the whole system works and set me up.
This is going to be much more work than I had anticipated.
