Sometimes I think about shit like ‘who was the first god’
Not like in a mythological pantheon way, but in the ‘what was the first natural phenomenon we ascribed to something ethereal that we named and venerated”
I want to know it’s rites. I want to hear it’s name from their lips

@Graphical_Ronin but eclipses were departures from the normal.. and the normal was explained by Gods running around in the sky.

The Sun, moon and planets were all ascribed to gods back when

@Graphical_Ronin Obv. no way to know, but you know what wikipedia has? A list with page counts for different categories of deity. I really sort of like the crude statistical relevance that weights different deity types by. Sky/Weather gods: ~172, War gods ~128, Agricultural ~90, Sea/River ~90, Fertility ~90.

@Enantiodromos seems like fewer gods for our more recent activities
