A person walks into a bar or a diner on screen and says
"I'll have a beer."
"Give me a slice of pie."
"How about a piece of cake?"
Who does this? Do you trust the bartender to give you the beer you like? How about cake or pie? I know I'm going to choose a blueberry pie over peach, any day. And I'm even pickier about cake.

One of my peeves is when the tv host says "Welcome back".
"I didn't go anywhere! You did!"
