@MidnightRider @Graci I wonder if their families are like this at all. I watch my fair share of true crime and in many cases I've seen, children pick it up from the environment. Of course there are people who just seem somehow "made bad" but it seems to me that there's usually an influence close to home that makes kids do heinous things. Those two seem to have fed off each other's cruelty from what I've read. I'm no expert or psychologist but I am morbidly curious and dropped out of psychology.

@Cynanthrope @Graci People should have listened to Dr. King: "judge people by the content of their character". Or don't judge at all like your own manual / bible directs you to do.

@MidnightRider @Graci the killers were not linked to any Christian beliefs, it seems that they just wanted to do evil. The girl thought of herself as a "Satanist" and was obsessed with killing and torture. I will point out before someone tells me off for it that I am aware that the vast majority of those calling themselves Satanists are not evil or looking to sacrifice humans. They tend to be really pleasant people from my experience. Then you get people who ARE evil, like these killers.

@Cynanthrope @Graci I believe you 100%. But I also feel that the hurtful words of the GOP & MAGA equate to "open season" on anyone but heterosexuals.

@MidnightRider @Graci This happened in the UK, so they are probably not influenced by MAGA nuts. I'd say that they could have had family as evil as them or been radicalised online maybe. There are groups who hate trans people here (sadly like everywhere else in the world) but we don't have MAGA.

@MidnightRider @Graci I agree but MAGA specifically is probably not a factor because the only thing people know about MAGA here is Trump prancing around in a baseball cap. There's definitely right wing nut job groups in Europe though. We aren't EU anymore either, UK voted to leave a few years ago but we still have Nazi scum lurking in dark corners. I think every nation has those pests unfortunately.

@MidnightRider @Graci I have heard someone else say that "God is just a cruel kid with an ant farm." I don't mind if anyone else believes in God, that's up to them and I respect their choice. I have just seen too much that convinces me that the Christian notion of God can't exist.
