Graci, this morning I got an email from the NC Libertarian Party.
Their timing is terrible! They were urging people to contact legislators to overturn Gov Coopers' veto of passed legislation to remove the requirement for sheriff permits for pistol purchases, which would remove background checks for pistol purchase permits.
@Priestess @MarvelousMadi13 @BaileyGS67 Not surprised. At the risk of offending people, I will say most Libertarians have no idea what it means. It's just GOPlite.
I agree. I was a registered Libertarian 17 years ago when Munger was a better choice for NC Governor than Perdue or McRory, but got to know most of the LP to be nothing more than Republican Lite and hypocrites. I love many of the small l libertarian principles but the large L Libertarian Party in NC does not offer a platform of reasonable solutions.
I'd love to have a strong 3rd party of electables come along to give us more candidate choices when the duopoly offers only bad or worse.
