HOW TO WATCH THE DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION

Kamala Harris’ whirlwind entry into the 2024 Presidential race has upended the electoral map, and her momentum, undeniable. Once an election between two men who many Americans did not see run again, the entry of Harris now offers a more youthful, positive, and joyful path forward for the nation.

The industry mobilized this year, forming a network of independent expenditures under the umbrella of Fairshake to weaponize a broken campaign finance system to their advantage. Fairshake has become the single largest outside spender in this year’s elections thus far, with $120 million in cash on hand, even greater than the notoriously well-armed American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC)." 2/2

Thank you for contacting the abyss. Your scream is very important to us.

looks like the pic is on its side but hey, it's a tasty one. Troegs Second Cut Mango Double IPA, 8.5% ABV. Hints of mango, pineapple and honey, acc to the label. Not sure my palate detects all that but it's tasty, for sure

Bad news out of Missouri. AIPAC got another one. We need serious campaign finance reform. PACs should not be able to throw millions of dollars at congressional races to force out incumbents. How are we supposed to trust that candidates like Latimer and Bell will have the nation's interest at heart when they owed their position to a PAC that lobbies for the interests of a foreign power? politico.com/news/2024/08/06/c

@GlennS I think Vance misunderstood the request to "get off the couch" in the most prurient manner....

there is a high likelihood that there will be at least a couple of instances of right wing political violence in the u.s. between now and jan 20, 2025. i can only hope that democratic officials are making their preparations now. But if you want a preview of the kind of stochastic terrorism to expect, look at what the far right is doing in England right now. Expect the same tactics bbc.com/news/articles/cl4y0453
