Talking about how class and struggle inform identity, every bit as much as gender, race and religion

@GlennS

I enjoyed that very much and feel like I was presented with some new ideas

@tgraph52 HCR is brilliant. I try to keep up with her daily columns and I've read a couple of her books. She has a way of breaking things down to their essentials that is often enlightening

@GlennS

I get more actual news/information in my inbox from Substack every morning than scanning the Big Media web sites.

@tgraph52 @GlennS Substack, Democracy Now, The Guardian, and Pro Publica, are my primary sources.

@tgraph52 oops, you were talking about the other video. That one was great, too. I really like the way she framed the issue as one that simply requires a more inclusive approach, esp the part about how DEI needs to focus on financial struggles. You can have many of the benefits of white privilege and still spend your life struggling

@GlennS

They were both very good. I like Jon Stewart for a start and I like his curiosity in trying to understand the issues, in public

@tgraph52 i loved his boldness and his humility. It's an odd combination. He challenges institutions and our assumptions while never acting like he knows more than his guests who are experts in their fields.
