#CoSoMusic Now here's something you're not going to hear everyday. "Romantic Prelude for Hurdy-Gurdy" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=16ZBIiXocpE&ab_channel=AndreyVinogradov
@GlennS That's quite amazing. The composition and its performance elevate the hurdy-gurdy from folk instrument to a worthy member of any chamber music ensemble.
@GlennS that was so beautiful, my ignorance that Hurdy-Gurdy is an instrument, I thought it was referencing the Donovan song lol.
Nice to add that to my list, I love listening to uncommon instruments, bamboo flute, koto, kuzhal. Particularly before I sleep. Always feel like they take me on a journey.
@AlternativeFactsAreLies yeah, that particular piece really captured my imagination
@GlennS mine as well, perhaps why it made me think of all the other emotional instrumentals. It's almost as if I see an epic story or envision a music video in my head as I lay there listening at night, does that make sense or am I just weird?
@AlternativeFactsAreLies nah, that's what i do as well, listen to tunes to take me off to slumberland. Another instrumental I really like is the zither piece in an old movie called The Third Man. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oEsWi88Qv0&ab_channel=Pianola%26JazzyStuff
@AlternativeFactsAreLies Here's the story behind the soundtrack. http://www.antonkaras.at/english_thirdman.htm
@GlennS
Beautiful.
