The Illusion of Choice: When Coercion Masquerades as Free Will

The ability to make choices is often hailed as a cornerstone of human freedom. We celebrate our autonomy, our power to shape our own destinies through the decisions we make. However, there exists a shadowy counterpart to this cherished ideal: coercion. Coercion, in its many subtle and overt forms, undermines genuine choice, creating an illusion of agency while manipulating individuals towards a predetermined outcome.

@Museek I hope they take heed and give it much consideration.

@JanetZumba_FalPals @Lynn14159 When they're very young (17,18) they don't think too much about the healthcare part. Not all of them, of course.

But then they get sick, or banged up, and they start paying attention. Or they hurry up and get married, have a kid right away, and realize they need it.

After they serve their time, they don't get it anymore unless they've been damaged in some manner.

Those are the ones who need it. And they have to fight for it.

@HopeSeeker Self indulgence and a form of venting, perhaps.

The particular one I wanted to upload here, I can't freakin' find on TikTok! So here's a link:

To a precious few..."

And as they do, I'm so glad to have had the opportunity to see and share one more beautiful sunset.

@Idissent @ATXJane

I missed it. I usually do.

But I'll take a step back, and take a breath. I gotta do that quite often with the husband.

We're at 71.47% but I KNOW we can get J to 100% before Thanksgiving! Let's go ! We have so much to be grateful for, let's give thanks!

Beaver Moon still bright over the Salish Sea tonight. And apparently at this time of year, Orion is tired and napping at the bottom right of the second photo…🤔🤩

Some stuff to share with your networks for folks moving from X to . They’re purposely trying to put the CEO profile in front and burying the politics of the investor/owners. It’s the investors/owners that call the shots in a company. The CEO is the board’s employee. Folks need to remember that. 🤦‍♀️ Link from 2022: politico.com/news/2022/04/22/b
