Saw this meme on Facebook. I'd seen it years ago and have tried to keep it in mind. I mean, I buy clothes on eBay.

Reminded me that I went to the Senior Center today to pick up lunch (they offer a free hot lunch every week day, though they ask for a donation), and I saw three separate people coming out of the food bank (in the same building) with the little grocery carts. Two men and one woman.

I frequently see people having shopped at the . Usually, it's women. Of all ages. Today, the men looked to be "seniors," the woman maybe in her 50s.

I pick up lunch 2 to 5 times a week. It varies. At least half the time I see people who have been in the food bank, and that strikes me as so sad. It's the middle of the month, and there were 3 people coming out of there.

The economy may be decent, unemployment may be low, but folks are still struggling. Remember your local food bank.
