@Bix I can see where it could become a big problem. On the phone makes it too easy.

I'm not interested in the least in sports or betting, so I rarely even "see" the ads. I think there have been some in my email host. Other sites ... I can't remember. Maybe Tumblr? Xitter?

My big problem is Powerball and MegaMillions. I go online, buy tickets 20 draws ahead (Pwrbll), or 26 draws ahead (Mega) then get out of the site! 🤣 There's really not much to look at except scratch-offs. I don't play those.
