When there is a big story in the world/US, I wonder if actors either (secretly?) wish they look like someone involved or don't.

Like, did Jaky Gyllenhaal punch the air out of frustration or joy when he saw what the alleged Idaho killer looks like? And is there some kind of actor pool where they can all make bets?

@L_D_G Oh, wow!THAT'S WHO THAT GUY LOOKS LIKE.

Like, dayum. He looked familiar but I couldn't dredge it up out of the murky depths.

That really sucks for Jake Gyllenhaal, but then if there's a movie ...

@GeezerWench he's more Donnie Darko than Mysterio, but it's totally Jake's doppelganger.

But that's what I'm curious about, do you WANT to look like someone involved?

(I've had friends look exactly like news making criminals and....it can be hilarious)

@L_D_G Egads, no! It's bad/weird/disturbing/creepy enough when somebody walks up to me in a store or wherever and asks me if I'm related to So-and-So because I look just like them.

Like, NO. I'm not related to anybody around here. Jeez.

@GeezerWench similarly, I've reached the point in life where everyone looks like someone I know or someone "famous" (in some form of the word).
