I’m not a big believer of snap polls, but it does make sense that the 31 percent of Trump supporters who are hard core, while most everyone else thinks Harris won. This doesn’t mean they will vote for her, but she definitely cleaned house yesterday as the kids say these days (and us oldesters used to say) she was cooking! https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/kamala-harris-debate-donald-trump-poll-who-won-b2610700.html
@AskTheDevil I absolutely agree on the fact that the polls are not informative and that they are manipulative, but that's exactly why I look at them. They are the narrative that's being spun. Politics has become more about spin than substance and, consequently, I think its important to see how the story is being sold. Especially, when its done under the veneer of polls (since the public does put stock in these). My biggest concern is that too much of a "win" for Harris could affect turnout.
@Gambit_1 If you approach these polls from a standpoint of "who is giving this poll, what are they trying to make me think, and what is their agenda?" rather than "is this poll accurate" it is very valuable!
@Gambit_1 The poll tells us nothing, as usual, because they're not even designed to be informative, they are intended to be manipulative.
We don't need to look at the polls, we just need to look at the debate.
The only poll that matters is our vote.
