I was so disappointed today when a good friend started mentioning transphobic talking points. He didn’t come out and say anything, but how does an educated, mostly liberal, guy say things like “why are pronouns such a big deal” or “sports competitions really aren’t built to handle some of these issues”. It’s like people think trans people just magically appeared on earth and are about to take over the planet.
I was probably a little too harsh, but fuck that shit. It’s ridiculous nonsense!
@AskTheDevil agreed and that’s how I felt. The good thing is that the sharper my tongue gets the more I focus on reason and logic. So it’s an “if the shoe fits” situation.
@Gambit_1 If you're worrying about being too harsh, that's a good worry to have. But also keep in mind the adage "stupidity should be painful."
