Anyone else find themselves wondering if maybe instead of finding a new social network the better choice is to just walk away from them for a while?

After being gone (permanently) from a certain site for 2 weeks now I find myself questioning the current form of social media in general.

What do y’all think? Are you considering an extended holiday break from social networking sites? Do you still like them or are you kind of feeling over it?

@TheRuralProgressive I'm still on the bird site but as a lurker. After two weeks I'm finding coso to be of little interest. I'm also on Mastadon, but strictly for photography. It will probably be what I stay with long term.

@GWMtravels I’m on Mastadon too but it hasn’t clicked, even though half the people I followed on Twitter will probably move there (since it’s become the current go to place for academics and urbanites).

CoSo is good. Lots of friendly people and very GenX heavy. But even then I feel like I could drop this place and be fine. I just don’t know if there is any network out there for me right now.
