@yogapaddlerun We haven’t been sick since Dec. 2019, either, when we think what we had was likely an early version of Covid-19. All I know is that is the worst I’ve felt being sick in my entire life - the cough was unbelievable. Even after we both got through the worst of it, we still had this nagging cough for 5-6 weeks. I hope that you feel better ASAP, if you did catch something.
@GEAUXJayna Hear you. Know we have a lot of RSV, and the beginning of flu, plus COVID and the rest of the respiratory virus gang. I still mask in public if not eating/drinking but not in my small group classes. At some point I’m going to catch something.
@yogapaddlerun Yeah. It’s just been so nice not getting sick over these past almost 3 years. Wearing a mask is something I think I’m likely to continue doing in a lot of public settings in the near future. If we ever get on a plane again, I think we may be masking. At some point, I hope that I feel safe going to restaurants and not just getting takeout. I’m not quite there yet, though.
@GEAUXJayna I caught something my dad caught on his cruise. High fever, headache, and a burning smell that lasted a few weeks. Bit of a cough but not the worst I’ve had. I’m not sure what that was anymore. I didn’t have any detectable antibodies in May 2020 when I did a study. 🤷♀️
@yogapaddlerun Interesting. It’s so hard to know for sure, particularly if you got something back in those early days.
@yogapaddlerun I’m worried about not being masked around others indoors, but we’ve made a handful of exceptions around small groups of vaccinated people since we got vaccinated in 2021 & have been OK. We will see what happens after a small gathering next weekend. It’s just hard to gage how much stuff is really circulating at this point in our area - there’s a lack of reliable data. We’ve gotten our bivalent boosters and flu shots, so we’re doing what we can.
