Well, today was perfect weather for a longer ride, and we outdid ourselves! This was our fastest 20-miler in a few years. 🚴🏻♀️🚴🏻♂️We’re now within 13 miles of 1000 miles biked for the year. #KatyTrail #Cycling

Katy trail - you're west of Houston?
I mostly ride white oak and buffalo bayou trails.

@BrentSullivan No, we’re just outside of St. Louis, MO. The Katy Trail goes across the state of Missouri.
@BrentSullivan That’s right. We’ve been riding that trail for the last 14 years. We didn’t discover it until a few years after we moved into our house, but we really enjoy it. I always dread the winter because we don’t get to go for 3-4 months, unless we have an odd warm day and it happens to be a weekend when it’s not raining and we have enough light. For the last couple of years, I’ve been pushing us to have higher total mileage each year before the cold hits.👍🏼

@BrentSullivan Me too. Last year, we went just over 1200 miles before we had to call it quits for the year (in early December, when we had a freak 70ish degree day after not being able to go since early November when it got too cold). I’m hoping we can at least match that, if not surpass it, this year. We find that once the time change hits, our work schedules don’t allow for rides of much length on weekdays.
