@Helical_Code My theory is this. They are given an opportunity to review our reports but they don't think we're that important so they don't. THEN the DOT says you can't build this until this report is done and approved and suddenly they remember that we're necessary even if they disagree.

@Helical_Code It took over a month to get surgery scheduled!! They have a staffing shortage at the hospital. It's been insane.

I finally got one of my calcs/reports nearly done (yes the same ones I've been banging on for a year now) and the contractor just realized last week that the wall is sitting on the connection for his fire hydrant so it has to move. I considered murder. I feel like I could get off on insanity at this point.

@Helical_Code HI!!! Sorry for going silent. Work has been super hectic. Health has been meh. I'm having surgery on Friday for a 7mm kidney stone. I just haven't had much energy for other things. How are you????

Left eye: these multifocal contacts are amazing, I can see, I can read, everything is crisp.

Right eye: Hard pass! Let the itching and dry eye and blurry vision commence!

Started the adjustment to a multi focal contact lens today. Amazing to read my phone without reading glasses.

So far this week: mammogram, meeting with lawyer for estate planning (wills, etc.), microwave fire put out (small, no damage, fast response). Tomorrow: more medical preventative screening and a retirement party ( unfortunately not mine). So much adulting for one week. When did I grow up??

@Helical_Code Thus far....I have managed to keep my fingers out of my eyes. It helps that my fingers feel like they're on fire...constant reminder not to touch things with them.
