@Helical_Code 😂 I was planting seeds in the garden and thought I was never going to get them all planted. Then this giant cicada killer wasp landed on my leg. I yelled several obscenities and threw the bowl of water with germinated seeds on him. Presto! done planting. #Fridayfun

@Helical_Code So far so good...only one mandatory meeting that may get cancelled due to someone being on PTO and some very minor report comments that have already been addressed. Since I've already hit my 45 hrs for the week and today is gravy, I'm going to take a few minutes to putter around in the garden later this morning before my west coast counterparts wake up.

@Helical_Code My favorite part of the meetings are when they finally finish giving me all the tweaks for the retaining walls we're supposed to be done with and will now need to redesign for the umpteenth time, and then they ask me why I haven't made any progress on the next set of retaining walls in the queue.

How is it Thursday already?? Oh that's right, my work life is stuck in a perpetual groundhog day scenario where I try to make progress but ultimately spend my week redoing the same calculations and rewriting the same report I've recalc'd/rewritten for the last several months because someone wants to tweak the design. Maybe this week will be the last week. #probablynot #morecoffee

Took the doggo to the vet for her monthly polymyositis checkup and blood work. She's perturbed because she thought she should be in the driver's seat this morning.

I accomplished a lot over the weekend and now I would like to request a second weekend to focus on actually relaxing and resting. Since that's not going to happen I guess it's time for a second cup of coffee ☕

@yogapaddlerun Definitely hard work. I cleared four beds in preparation for the fall garden and my back is so broken. I'm going to try to finish this morning while the heat and humidity are reasonable. #aftercoffee

Ahhh yes it's Saturday. Time to sleep in and recover from the work week. SO woke up at 430 am and couldn't get back to sleep. TV came on at 5 am. Doggo demanded breakfast at 530 am. SO accidentally tripped over doggo at 545 am and doggo yelled bloody murder.... so much for sleep. Bring on the coffee! ☕

@GrandmaJ lol I used to have a dog that was prone to projectile vomiting...it was the worst. I'm so glad our current doggos are not prone to digestive upset. One of them did refuse to go out to potty in the rain for awhile and would use our green shag carpet rug as her indoor lawn patch. We had a long talk and a long walk in the rain and she's never done it since.
