@Helical_Code White, blues, greys, and a streak of hot pink....sunset over snowy mountains?
@Helical_Code oh! I haven't seen it but I'm amending my guess to Frozen
@Foxthorn
Bingo!
I've never seen it on screen, but my kiddo might have been in a stage version in grade school (no lines because of their stutter).
@Foxthorn
Also, having looked up some images, I realized that the darker pink would have been a closer match than the hot pink, but I am rolling with what I have for the moment.
@Helical_Code lol I am still finishing off a very garish orange and blue combination that is sure to make my mother roll her eyes. I'm not enjoying the shetland as much as I do the corriedale as I tend to break the yarn a lot more.
@Foxthorn
"Mom, think of it as a design challenge!"
@Helical_Code lol she'll just knit something for my dad who is more severely colorblind than I am. Colorblind ppl unite!!
@Foxthorn
I'm not sure that I've spun shetland. I've read that what you get in terms of fiber can depend on the part of the body that the fiber comes from. If the staple (length of the fiber) is short, it can be harder to maintain a continuous thread.
@Helical_Code It's a 3.5 inch staple, but it feels inconsistently grabby...like some times it takes a lot of effort to draft and sometimes you give that effort and it just slips and lets go and you pull it apart because you've pulled too hard. I'm sure the issue is me, but it'll be awhile before I tackle shetland again. I picked up several new wools to try the last time I allowed myself to log in to etsy....LOL.
@Helical_Code also please tell me that no lines because of stutter was the child's choice and not the school's...
@Foxthorn
That's definitely the right neighborhood! Even though I'm generally not a Disney person, what leaped to mind was a Disney theme.
