In my room of sleep I lie
Wrapped in blankets warm and soft
Dreaming of the stars and sky
Till the sunshine comes to me
Through the window
as a cute friend of the new day.

I open up my eyes and see
The light of new day shining bright
A gentle breeze caresses me
And fills my heart with fresh delight

I stretch and yawn and smile wide
Ready to embrace the day
With gratitude I step outside
And greet the world in my own way.
