Dehumanizing people always leads to violence. It’s what Hitler was counting on with the Jews, disabled, and gay communities. Dehumanize them to the point that you people don’t care if they are attacked, gassed, burnt alive. It’s a grotesque human quality to dehumanize.

Dahlia (L) came to us already named. Solid black GS are rare/expensive but she was free bc she was unwanted, broken & traumatized -much like myself. Rehomed 5x in her 1st year. Beaten. Starved. Anxious AF. Now 2yo.
Grady (R) 95lbs at 9mo. Named after the hospital that did my amputation. An attempt at redeeming that name somehow. Currently off being trained as a SA for my seizures.
Don’t call them fur-babies anymore than my children are skin-dogs. They’re family nonetheless.
