Christmas tree bubble lights were patented in the 1930s, but not available until 1946, due to wartime shortages.
NOMA Electric Company was the first to market them — and made more than 25 million in the first two years!
And the NOMA brand still exists today.

@Florence @LnzyHou @AuntCrabby I don't disagree with you. However there is nothing funnier to me than a front desk clerk at the healthcare office barking about masks like Lee Ermey on mail call , with their nose out of their mask.
I’m the only person in crowded waiting room wearing a mask.
I don’t care. #Covid is NOT fun.
@Florence @girlsreallyrule Same. Congressman Jeffries flew out to Oregon to help Andrea Salinas get elected to Congress. She won! We nearly ran the table in OR, except for CD5 which had been represented by a pseudo-Democrat for years. Nearly all the Dems who won were women. I don't mind if the DCCC Chair is not a female. This is a photo of Congresswoman-elect Andrea Salinas, me, and Congressman Jeffries when he was here in November. He is Da Bomb.
I saw this documentary a couple years ago, and it's really quite engaging.
About 3 years of filming, artist Vik Muniz photographs & sculpts ppl who work in the world's largest garbage dump, Jardim Gramacho, on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The “catadores”–pickers of recyclable materials–end up changing, & being changed by their interaction with, the artist. It's actually a deeply moving film.
Sorry about this toot, just need to offload!
My cachexia has now officially been diagnosed as refractory cachexia (meaning the #cancer treatments are no longer working). I have no heat in minus temps as it's too expensive, and my home is ridiculously damp. We also have regular power cuts upcoming thanks to Tory mismanagement.
I foresaw a lot of possibilities for my end of life care, but this was not one of them. In the dark, freezing, and damp!
Oh well. C'est la vie.
🤷♀️
CoSofam and friends‼️
I am currently 3700 Km from the closest family (and even extended family) who could help me with a place to stay, were I to lose my current apartment. I have to ponder every day if I should find a home for my cats, in case I no longer can provide them with a home, to keep them from ending up in the county shelter 😞. This whole situation is so heartbreaking 💔
Please, please don't scroll away, I really need your solidarity through this crisis ➡️

So someone posts a little something they created. Checks replies... all complimentary. Love #CoSo because that's typical here. If it's not your cup of tea, you move on, if it is you say something nice.
The news just gets worse and worse about post Covid effects.

@FreezyWriter I love how fast "I'm going to fix Twitter" turned into "Twitter is ruining civilization so by destroying it I am actually doing you all a favor."
I hate all this. I been forced into this nonsense again. I dislike all of it, as you can see.
It's me. I'm the problem. I'm that person your mother warned you about! 'We all do well when we all do well' (Wellstone) #BLM #VoteBlue #Democracy #Cancer
