I'm just going to say this once, to hopefully allay some of the frustration I'm seeing...
You wouldn't appoint a special counsel if you didn't envisage indictments, and you certainly wouldn't appoint #JackSmith if you didn't want convictions.
Relax, it's all good (but terrible for Don!)
@Florence most Americans want a feel good moment rather than a cogent strategy. Many of those people - whether they admit it or not - hope that having Trump out of the equation will restore order. This is who republicans are. Time is better spent dismantling white supremacy, registering new voters, canvassing for candidates, etc. but Americans hate doing the long game leg work.
