@th3j35t3r I don't understand why these folk feel the need to 'announce' everything! It's similar to those who say 'I'm leaving' but then hang around to be persuaded out of leaving. I never quite understand it. If you want to leave, leave! But there is a sense of self-importance too far for me to feel you have to have hundreds of people supporting every decision you make.

The one bird app saying that i saw over there that i liked is, "This isn't an airport, you don't have to announce your departure!". It always made me giggle. ✈️ 🤭
@ChillySnowgirl @th3j35t3r That's good too! But everything on other sm is so 'self-importance' based. Take facebook for example, new posts are shown as 'Status Updates'. Status????
@Florence @th3j35t3r Well, it's like the followers and easily visible "likes", right? A popularity thing, instead of encouraging real interaction. On every other sm site i'm on, i only have a handful of people as friends, yet they still filter it so that i only see a fraction of those posts. Here i see everything i want to see because no algorithm. I love it. 😊
@ChillySnowgirl @th3j35t3r This is particularly true of FB. I have under 50 friends there, all I know in real life. And I have to search out their posts. It renders it pointless for me.
