I'm autistic. The more I see of the world, the more I think to myself when watching neuro-typical, or non-autistic, people do and say things, I'm glad I'm not a part of that.
I've watched some serious lunatics run for office in these elections. Hate-filled, bile-filled, rhetoric which hurts people.
So, truly, if that passes for 'normal', count me out!
@MsJudyJetson I always say that these people come and go, but what concerns me more is the amount of people voting for them. Same with Trump. He will pass in the end, but those who stood silently by while applauding him from the background are the REAL danger.
@MsJudyJetson We have ignored the racism and hatred for decades. Not all of us of course, but those who had the power to do something about it. And this has lifted the veil on the true ugliness of parts of our country.
@Florence There is a lot more racism than I thought. In this day and age... you'd think we'd be further along on equality.
@MsJudyJetson @Florence I'm reading this thread as a Swede thinking the whole lot of it could just as well have been about Sweden. It's like a global pandemic of its own.
@MsJudyJetson @Florence I don't understand the mentality it takes to fall into a cult. But tffg is as, if not more, dangerous than Jim Jones. This is the closest thing to mass hysteria we've seen in a long time.
@MtnHooligan @Florence The thing that really baffles me is that people support Trump even knowing that he lies all the damn time. How can you support someone you can't trust? They are giving a lot of power to someone they can't trust.
@Florence The blind adoration people have for Trump is totally baffling to me. And when you talk to them about specific issues, they clearly don't support his policies. The hatefulness really seems to have found fertile ground. #politics
