I am pro-choice and think every woman should make their own decisions about their own bodies but I wish people would stop arguing purely for the rape/incest exclusions. Those exclusions imply that, to 'deserve' an abortion, a woman has to have had someone else violate her first. That's a terrible argument.
@LKPorter Absolutely!
@Florence - Those calling out the MAGAs & religious-right over their lack of rape/incest exclusions are NOT in any way abdicating support for universal #AbortionRights. Rather, they are using the powerful weapon of empathy to win over swing voters. Like it or not, a 12yo who has been raped by an uncle is a more SYMPATHETIC character than a married woman choosing not to have another child.
@Florence Total agreement. This is a human rights issue and what's more basic as a human right then the right to control your body?
