Last night's (this morning) dream fragments; standing in a field, half a dozen people bringing me sheaves of documents, handwritten mostly, with a prominent figure on each between about $2400 and $3700, I'm interpreting these as loan proposals for something, when I turn to look at the sky and meteor fragments begin to fall. /1...

Good morning CoSoNauts, I've had my two cups of coffee and a pastry. It's warming up out there and the internet is out this morning. For diversion, I present to you the world's largest unintentional chicken roost.

Daily Show's Trevor Noah interviews Dan Crenshaw. I am impressed with both Congressman Crenshaw (R-Houston) and Trevor in this wide ranging and topical interview. It was a pleasure to watch.

I don't like killing anything. But I do get a delight seeing my own blood when I swat a mosquito.

To be honest it would be my second ban.
On the first one I have no idea how I got banned but the last thing I did was back someone into a corner with their own words and I think their friends jumped on me.

Just sitting here in the heat trying my best to get banned from the bird site. Time for another beer. Hi ho.

Finished installation - free hot water! Need to tie the units down to the rooftop, but they're in near-final position. Solar recirc pump ordered that will run during day keeping the tank at max temp (way overkill, but...cheap). Total system cost about $500 vs. 15-1800 retail installed (w/80 gal tank - way overkill).

Good Morning.✌️

March 2022 WaPo article on
“How Civil Wars Start: And How to Stop Them,” Barbara F. Walter - UCSD Political Science.

"What we’re heading toward is an insurgency, which is a form of a civil war. That is the 21st-century version of a civil war, especially in countries with powerful governments and powerful militaries, which is what the United States is."

Okay - 2 cups down & ready to hit the day. Be good and do good folks. It's not that hard. Smile at passersby and hold a door for the folk coming behind you. 🤟 :WilLongAndProsper: 🐒

But of a torrent today. We get heavy rain almost daily, but I have yet to see an NWS warning here.

On other front, just b4 this hit I tested my refurb solar water calendator panel for leaks and heating capacity. It hit 127F in the sun after mere minutes, and no leaks.

RE: Keeping CoSo cool...

So...it's easy enough I suppose to find the most filtered hashtags, (thanks @realDDGlover) but hard for users to remember do it each post. (Guilty)

Perhaps "someone" could create a dynamic dropdown list to prompt poster to pick a hashtag from the most recent/popular before posting?

Like..."Please select an appropriate tag from this list before posting, or you may make your own. Thanks, your fellow Nauts"

Thoughts?
(yea, I know more work for J)

SCOTUS decisions don't bode well for the future of our democracy. It may be the blue states that secede at this point.

The dogs and the roosters made a party all night, and I still woke, or rather gave up, at 5. Doomscrolled a bit, no waiting on the coffee to finish soaking in the press. I'm going to take my cup go walk around the block and kick the dogs and chase the chickens.

It takes all day to drill out another 2" hole and run the PEX in 90 heat. Burnt up the hammer clutch on a a brand new Ryobi hammer drill too. But I've got the PEX run, the 12 gal. tank de-installed, wire brushed & painted, and hauled up to the roof where it will go in to service as a storage tank only.

Morning all. ☕🫶
I hope your day is or has been positive and rewarding, and you take a moment to breathe and appreciate the amazing fact that you even exist.

Now go have that beautiful cup of and go kick some butt. In whatever way seems appropriate to you. ☕

My friend Joshua pointed me to this thread re: Monkeypox distribution, Russian smallpox vaccinations > bio warfare?

Well, I got it laid out and a couple of holes drilled through 6" concrete between the rains. Will finish it up in the morning, I hope.
