There is no "rapid rise" of AI. They taught AI when I was in undergrad in the early 90's (I already had a practical, full-time job in computers, I didn't need a CS degree, I got a physics degree, wanted to do computational physics at SSC, which then cancelled, thanks GOP!). I thought AI was silly. It is not a sudden phenomenon, it's been in the works.
I feel a bit like Vonnegut's Billy Pilgrim. Unstuck in time. Floating from moment to moment - not my "normal" - but the last half dozen years - politics, covid, becoming medicare-age, losing friends and family to the GQP, etc. have really done a number. I sit in meditative state on my own shoulder, observing.
Well, enough for now - off to "do things". I don't plan much, I just react to the moment's needs. I always tended that way, now it seems to dominate. Hi ho.

Stopped at the beach for walkabout in the Easter crowds. Stepped back to the passenger side and grabbed umbrella. Walked around an hour. Back a the truck, no keys! Backtracked my walk halfway b4 thinking...passenger door.

My friend's Miss Piggy has been trying to get preggers for a while, with her pig buddy Juan, then friends decided to wait a bit, because reasons.
The vet was by a week is or so ago to check pigs and chickens.
