Yes. Mere minutes to several beaches in SW Puerto Rico. Muy tranquillo. Touristy, yet primarily PR locals. Not a bunch of 'mericans on vacay. That's San Juan where cruise ships come into San Juan Viejo, and nearby Condado is a mini Miami. The north coast good for local and anglo surfers. While Rincon on the NW has been Californicated.

Will try. Short day probably. Power washing the rooms (it's all cement block), screens and the hurricane shutters, and patching cracks and holes. Build some shelves, then paint tomorrow I hope. More sunset and swim. π
@yadayadayada
Tsunami safe, but I'm not sure I'd want to ride out a hurricane in it. π¬

And the top of the male plug shall be green, or otherwise plainly indicated, as will the female port carry a similar designation.
Good Tuesday morning 'nauts. I saw this interesting house on the way to the job yesterday, spent the day hauling blocks, demoing and cleaning in preparation for paint and floor repair, at my friend's place, then spent an hour at the beach cooling off in the water. Then I had this lovely snack of corned beef and plantain amarillas with a dark rum and tonic. Finished off with a great conversation with the folks at the next table. It was a good day.
I hope yours was as well.

Dark City
A man wakes up in a strange hotel with no memory and a wife he cannot remember, and discovers a world of bizarre murders and a group of aliens who can alter people's memories.
@phase2
Wasn't that the basic theme of Dark City?
Each night at midnight every thing changes. I need to watch it again. It's been a long time and that's all I remember.
@DavidSalo
I've been standing back for the last couple (several?) years in stunned silence at what I see in the world and I have yet to arrive at a satisfactory method for going forward and engaging. I've reverted to near Buddhist silence on most matters of import, and try to bring some levity once in a while. π I support my personal circle of friends and visit here for some uplifting views. CoSo folks are amazing. Thank you all.

Hoping that's a quote from some famous writer's play, a poet's lament, or an ex-dictator in jail for life.
If not, #CoSoCares.
I wonder
Can I find the words today
What light
The mist is gone
My world no longer grey
All the weight
Of all my yesterdays
Lifted and lit with celestial light
From the rising east
The whole of the sky
The lemon gold
Of autumn in Verona
And the moor burns bright
With copper fire
No such thing as black or white
Everything alight
Even the magpie's white is golden
And her black back
A royal sheen
of green and blue

Not a bit. I already saw the lovely work you've done. I just didn't know you had done it. π π
@Beanc
I would test that theory, but I'm all out of the pistachios I bought yesterday, as of last night.

They go down sooo smooth.
Is Clamato and beer a breakfast drink, or a cocktail?
I think a lime and salt would make it a cocktail. Plain ol' Red Beer is a breakfast drink.

@Dane
Oh, sure. To hear THEM tell it anyway. I've never seen it, so...
Oh, well. There you have it then.
If you have the skilz, carry on. ;^)

If saving $$ then pulling and reinstalling the roof "may" be cheaper than adding that much T&G. Would have to run the numbers with a roofer, and current cost of T&G, installation, and finishing. Minimum possibility of a roof leak, IMHO.
