Yesterday I put BroomHilda upstairs to clean up while I went out. Later that evening I thought to look for her, probably out of gas and looking for her home base which was downstairs, she was nowhere to be found.

Today I went out on the ledge looking and found her hiding around the corner. She had to open a screen door and drop down an inch and a half to get out there. I don't think I overwork her, just a couple times a week. I think she's online planning a strike with others. Watch your vacs!

My collection from my walk down the beach yesterday, picked up an antique. For all you young-uns out there confused by the Jimmy Buffet lyrics;

Welp, frozen pipe upstairs, comes a warmer day, it leaks across the bathroom floor, down the wall to kitchen, and basement. I'm not there. I don't know why I didn't think to simply shut off the water upstairs in case. I did turn the heat up in the house when I heard the cold snap was coming. /sigh

DNR boys hung out with us for a while in the mangrove cay shallows. It was kind of windy and rough so we hung out protected from the winds. Took a short swim to chase my hat and cleaned the sides of the boat, had breakfast snacks and good times. No whales. 🐳 That would have been a long rough ride out to them.

Shoot - now I don't know if I saw this here or not, but prime video now has all seasons of Northern Exposure available. It hasn't been available for years because of music copyright issues.

Man, fireworks going off everywhere and I haven't seen a firework stand or a single firecracker on sale anywhere.

Helped a friend clear a couple of bugs out of her pantry last night after she got back to Puerto Rico. She had been gone about 9 months dealing with cancer which she is now free of. First night she thought the lizards had moved in which are not so bad.

Good Tuesday morning 'nauts. I saw this interesting house on the way to the job yesterday, spent the day hauling blocks, demoing and cleaning in preparation for paint and floor repair, at my friend's place, then spent an hour at the beach cooling off in the water. Then I had this lovely snack of corned beef and plantain amarillas with a dark rum and tonic. Finished off with a great conversation with the folks at the next table. It was a good day.

I hope yours was as well.

Is Clamato and beer a breakfast drink, or a cocktail?

I think a lime and salt would make it a cocktail. Plain ol' Red Beer is a breakfast drink.
