Packing up the second child for college. 18 years gone in a flash. It makes me want to go back in time to when they were a cuddly little bean and slow down that moment for a bit; to hold them, read a bedtime story, and giggle over something funny for just a little bit longer.
@badkoukla When he was a baby, he would cry at night, so I would grab him and rock in a chair in our living room so Mom could sleep (could sleep thru a train wreck actually, but that's another story). I loved being able to hold and comfort him until he could fall back asleep. This was our late-eve routine until I left for a business trip and Mom "fixed" him over a weekend so he could sleep thru the noc. I still kinda miss those days....
