If you're as frustrated as I am about alleged dem "infighting", here's a clue as to cause: https://open.substack.com/pub/robertreich/p/who-exactly-is-trying-to-push-biden
@FinnegansWhacked Finally something I've read that makes absolute sense.
@SaltyVeruca @dauphin87 Not always.
@SaltyVeruca @dauphin87 There is still room in your argument to agree with "not always," with your opening, "largely, I think so." We do agree on points, but I also believe "we" do not have to be tethered as much we are to these various agencies. I've been amused by a graffiti I saw on a Storrow Drive overpass many years ago: "The urge to buy will consume you." The collective "we" has power, if "we" use it.
@FinnegansWhacked @dauphin87 I think that's true to an extent. I'd also contend when we think we have choice, we really don't. The collective we as action is a really hard thing to spur in our culture of individuality because it's the valued state of existence. I think we a culture, we'd rather whine about it. Always the cynic, though. π
@FinnegansWhacked @dauphin87 Also fyi: I Largely state something with qualifiers so I don't hem myself in or insult people. What I really mean is nah I'm right. π
@FinnegansWhacked @dauphin87 Largely, I think so. Our social media, our product consumption with unbridled corporate greed, our healthcare that I mentioned, our education system (which has always had an agenda), our work/life balance via capitalism, our entertainment culture, our advertising. our banking..even "independent" influencers are hired. We disagree which is fine. We can do that.
