I don't talk about TFG's trial much. Partly, because it only takes one person being bought off to prevent a verdict before the election. But also, I was pretty depressed when Merchan said “The last thing I want to do is to put you in jail,” “You are the former president of the United States, and possibly the next president as well.”

Sounds to me like he will resist sentencing TFG to jail even if found guilty. :(

@TrueBloodNet I didn’t read his comments quite the same way. Instead, I thought he was telegraphing the idea that a former POTUS has never been on trial before and this one needs a somber, serious, and respectful consideration to not only honor the office, but recognize and hold accountable those who would abuse and dishonor not just the Office, but our entire system of Government.
