My father "hated" cats until he found a kitten under our house and it began following him everywhere after he rescued it. I brought it inside and fed it and it went straight back to him to crawl in his lap. Short story, he spent a lot of time muttering "fucking cats" while stroking it lovingly for as long as it wanted to sit with him. I think men just think they hate cats...
@awnaves @FernLovebond hehe He will pet a friends cat if it comes up to him (and they do) but doesn't want them on him, and a request to adopt one gets a vehement EFF NO .
It's a compromise. He won't allow cats in our house, and I won't allow cars in the yard that he "might" fix up one day
