A taste of the frenzy we get. 😂
Chickadee, titmouse, jays, nuthatch, and the woodpecker at the end. The only ones missing were the cardinals and red breasted nuthatch.

@Faay my sister had a bird frenzy this year with her backyard feeders. You could hardly see the feeders for all the birds.

@Zevon The ones I listed are our usual suspects for this time of year and winter.

@Faay 👍🏼 the fenzy on her feeders was in the spring when the migratory birds had arrived. It was a spectacle!

@Zevon welllllll, full disclosure. I normally don’t put out the feeders this early because of the black bears. But the chickadees were landing on the hooks wondering where tf their food was. 😅. Everyone knows the chickadees broadcast it to the avian world where the food is.
The bears can’t get to these feeders so I’m 🤞 🤫

@Faay ha!! my sis had bear visits too, racoons and rodents, so she had to change things up with the feeders - raise them higher, put spikes on the bottom of the poles to discourage small creatures climbing up, etc.

@Faay I loved feeding the birds at our last house but don’t dare do it here. The neighbors have outdoor cats that are excellent hunters so the birds are better off elsewhere. (I love having cats around but have had only dogs over the past dozen years.)

@REDonaldAuthor oh trust me, we have every critter imaginable here, including area cats. These feeders are up too high for anything other than the birds to get to.
Although in the past, the damn squirrels used to jump on the roof from a tree out back, then navigate up and over the roof and try to stretch down to the feeders. 😂. Little shits.
