@BlueVoter24 so much $$ spent needlessly. spent to maintain white supremacy. spent to further marginalize the marginalized.

& these suburban moms? fuck you. spend more time on food programs for hungry kids in school & actually talking w/ your kids you moronic, ignorant, myopic idiots. you're being used. stop being lemmings. get a brain & stand up for yourselves. maybe read a book or two that isn't the fucking bible.

@singlemaltgirl @BlueVoter24 Pretty sure it depends what state & city the suburbs are in for these characteristics to be common enough to generalize. Have pretty much always lived in burbs but the burbs are in the SF bay area of CA and I can guarantee you most suburban moms, grandma's, and female suburb dwellers here do not fit this description. There are a few areas in my state that, sadly, lean much more red but they tend to be more in the rural areas. Red states are the bane of the US imho.

@Embers well, i was speaking specifically of the suburban moms highlighted in the article that had been using their facebook groups et al to mobilize hate & harassment campaigns against librarians as well as calling for book bans. it wasn't a generalization of ALL suburban moms. i did say 'these' just to be careful not to paint everyone w/ the same brush. i'm a mom, after all. 🙄

@BlueVoter24

@singlemaltgirl @BlueVoter24 The red states are just awful...so tired of the evangelicals doing their absolute worst to try to drag us back into their idea of the "good old days".

@Embers mmm...evangelical good ol' days? do you mean when powerful men shit the bed every fucking day & the rest of us had to clean it up? those good ol' days? 😡
