@FPonTheDL oh shit I had my gallbladder out in May 2020 and it sucked, but the gas pain from my hysterectomy was SO BAD.
@FPonTheDL it didn’t reach my shoulder though…good lord 🥺
@FPonTheDL @squirrel_baby That happened after I had a liver biopsy...omg..they didn't tell me it might happen and actually had an order for pain medication as they'd expected I'd need it. Would have been a nice thing to know in advance! So much for informed consent.
@FPonTheDL @squirrel_baby Didn't mean to imply that you had a choice...just said the shoulder pain is a known effect with abdominal procedures and being informed that it is could be helpful in dealing with that outcome/pain.
@Embers @squirrel_baby Oh I know, I just meant I was so high on morphine it probably wouldn’t have registered.
@Embers I honestly didn’t have a choice. I went into the ER on Monday with acute gallbladder stones. They had to put me on strong narcotics, antibiotics, anti-nausea meds, blood thinners and IV. They did the surgery on Tuesday afternoon. My gallbladder was really inflamed. It was an emergency procedure. @squirrel_baby
