Baby opossum just before we released it into a tall shrub last night. The sanctuary had us measure it and when stretched out it was 7" which they told us was the size they start to drop off of mom and go off on their own. Felt it would have a better chance of escaping the notice of the backyard ferals if we put him up in the branches of a bush than on the ground. Bye bye little guy! See you at the food bowl when you're a bit bigger! #wildlife #opossum #babyanimals
