This is happening in our neighborhood. There are a LOT of properties for sale.
Our HOA dues went up 50% within a couple of years and I believe it has driven fixed income or geriatric residents to simplify. We may be doing it soon as well, as we eye on-ramps to retirement like at the end of the Game of Life.
