I may be biting off more than I can chew, but I paid for a knitting class* and wound up having to figure out two-handed stranded knitting myself, so I thought I’d try a different project while I’m there. Should have tried learning straight cable but, no, I’m going to add in brioche. I think this also might stump the teacher so I’m asking for any tips you might have for either of these techniques.

*it shouldn’t be called that. You just bring your project and get help if you need it.

@Ellomumsy I don't have any tips for brioche. I tried it once and I think with practice as you go, it won't be too hard. Keeping count of what row you are on is pretty important, and going slow with the pattern. That cowl pattern is very pretty. Good choice for a project. Let us know how it goes. And I think Youtube videos would help.

@NMWoman thank you. I have row counters from Twice Sheered Sheep and they’ve been a game changer in my knitting. And I did find a YouTube video about the brioche that looks promising. Now to figure out the cable piece. I’m hoping the knitting teacher can help me with understanding the chart.

@Ellomumsy Best of luck with brioche - I hope to learn it, too. Eventually!
