Part of me loves that the Murdochs can't sell their cable network because it's pretty rubbish.
But the other part wants them out of it because they're holding rights to some good shows and sporting events that I'd like to watch but won't because I won't give them money for anything.
Wonders will never cease! The Labor government and the RW opposition actually agree on something!
Funny how they can agree to protect their cosy duopoly even though they disagree on every single other thing.
Yes, it's good to keep the billionaires out of it, but that's just an excuse to try to nobble the Independents and minor parties that threaten to make government accountable by stopping the major parties from having sufficient votes to form government in their own right.

I, too, believe that the Socceroos (which is a silly name for a team) can win games as long as they swap out the whole team for the far more experienced, successful, and less well-paid women's team.
Otherwise, they're not good enough.
So this excellent documentary turned up the National Indigenous TV channel tonight.
It reminds me of the way we resisted the National Front skinheads back then, but also makes me think that they might be n the parliament now 🤷🏼♂️

The tide’s further out today, but you can see that the sand is finally starting to come after being washed away by the “unusual“ storm activity (translation: new paradigm caused by climate change) this winter. It was “unusual” alright. I’ve never seen that happen.
The sand’s covered up the rocks at the base of the stairs, and the beach is staring to look like it’s looked for the 25+ years I’ve lived here.
It’s difficult to describe how frustrating it is when the video game tutorial tells you to set the speed at 230 kmh, but the controls won’t go beyond 229 and you can’t finish the tute because you didn’t tick the box.
