They’re playing a show by The Quincy Jones Big Band tonight, and it’s wonderful, just like everything Quincy touched.
@DyDave Haven’t seen a flugelhorn in a long time, same fingering as a standard trumpet.
Right?
I remember there was one in high school band, but it sure wasn’t played with the skill and feel that Quincy’s guy soloed with.
I’m trying to find a link to that whole show now because it’s awesome.
In the meantime:
@DyDave We had one in middle school, I don’t remember if it was the school’s property. All the trumpet players took a turn with it.
