Saturday Night Vidéos were the highlight of the weekend back then! We’d tape every single U2 video they played (too bad they’re on VHS and I can’t play them anymore)
This was my favorite (you can see a clip of the Minneapolis skyline in it - we thought that was so cool!)
Saturday night video music shows seem like an almost universal experience for Gen X kids in Western countries from what I can gather.
Here in Australia, our version was a show called Rage on our Australian Broadcasting Corporation and I'd be poised with my finger on the VHS record button well into Sunday morning...
