Day Eleven of

Every day this month I'll share an iconic image from a movie that I love. Feel free to share your own favourites too!

Today: Barry says yer come out blurry.

What's that? Oh, just us and the wonderful Divina De Campo from Saturday's Hedwig & The Angry Inch show at HOME Mcr. Meet and greets are such a weird thing, but of all the ones I've done, Divina's was one of the most genuine and rewarding.

Day Ten of

Today... I've got a hankering for sausages, so...

Four years ago today, and the day I chose to go to see David Bowie Is at Brooklyn Museum just happened to be the same day the late, great Mick Rock was announced as doing a talk that evening.

We exchanged smiles in the cafe area earlier that day... and then that evening I sat next to Norman Reedus without realising it til he got up and left. 😁

Watched the first two episodes of The Pentaverate as a break from some work I'm doing.

Lots of talent involved... Still can't help but feel it needed a second writer to tone down Myers excess Myersisms. He's a genius but needs focus. Nice ideas but falls short, methinks.

Day Nine of

Every day this month I'll share an iconic image from a movie that I love. Feel free to share your own favourites too!

As I had a marmalade sandwich earlier, today I'm going to highlight Paddington 2. The first film is also a gem, but I look like what would happen if you combined these two characters in a transporter accident like Tuvix.

Also, I've been directed by the film's director, once upon a long ago.

Very happy about Ncuti Gatwa's casting BTW. They're gonna be brilliant.

Day Eight of

Every day this month I'll share an iconic image from a movie that I love. Feel free to share your own favourites too!

Today: As the new Doctor Who has been announced, let's look back at the brilliant Adult Life Skills starring outgoing Time Lord Jodie Whittaker. A really heartwarming film that tackles grief in a uniquely British way. Also acts as a nice companion piece to another British comedy from a few years earlier. More on that another day...

Slightly belated Day Seven of

Every day this month I'll share an iconic image from a movie that I love. Feel free to share your own favourites too!

Sorry I'm late, but as I was out tonight watching the sublime new production of Hedwig & The Angry Inch at HOME in Manchester, I think I can be excused... and today's film is one of my absolute all time favourites. This movie saved my two decades ago and still gives me strength today. Sublime piece of cinema.

And for a cheeky bonus... the four other times we've met Ms Monsoon and the one previous time we've met Mr Scales before disease prevented hugging.

Had a wonderful time watching Jinkx Monsoon & The Major Scales last night. My sixth time seeing ol' Dink Munsun and they never disappoint.

Weird but Covid necessary meet and greet pics below.

Boris Johnson plans his next career move while also wondering where he can buy the crown and the dress.

Today: Jack Goes Boating: The only film directed by my favourite actor. The *other* film with a quad poster hanging in my home. Adore this movie...

Everything on Disc 1 was a UK Top 40 hit, as per the rule for inclusion on Greatest Hits I & II in 1981/1991 respectively.

And for a limited edition bonus disc, here's all the non-UK singles!

CD 01 - GREATEST HITS III

01. Heaven for Everyone [Single Version]
02. Under Pressure [Rah Mix] - with David Bowie
03. Another One Bites the Dust [New LP Version] - with Wyclef Jean, Pras & Free
04. Let Me Live

10. Flick of the Wrist [Single Version] β—˜
11. Tie Your Mother Down [Single Version] β—˜

So, Queen are reissuing Greatest Hits III again. It's an album that's always frustrated me, by including several solo singles & non UK singles but omitting some genuine hit records.

I had hoped when the band moved to Universal in 2011 they'd 'fix' the mistake, but I guess not.

Here's an attempt I made at making a 2-disc special edition of Hits III several years ago which I think sits alongside the first two iconic albums much better.
