Mandalorians are a people, of which Boba Fett was one...they're basically the Spartans of the Star Wars universe
And this show takes place after Return of the Jedi (post fall of Empire), prior to The Force Awakens (rise of the New Order)
(More the counter-Alderaanian's (in a Ying/Yang/ or Triskele Dark/Grey/Light sense), or Switzerland in a late medieval Byzanztine Empire sense (professional soldiers), or in a modern context, WW2 Isreal or WW2 Russia (the entire population and economy is geared to Total War as a defence measure). IMO.
Spartans have the gender issues, and Mandy's are humanist (as long as you're a Mandalorian or their equal, like Obi.) @opie @Desmblake
