Hm. Interesting interpretation.
But the source is a web "comic" called Ctrl + Alt + Delete, the one named "Loss", about the female lead suffering a miscarriage.
Many ppl disliked the tonal shift in the comic, and it was mocked mercilessly, losing a lot of the readership. At the time I read it, I was still raw from similar issues in my own relationship, so it holds a peculiar place for me.
It is also sometimes represented more simply still as | || || |_
